SPECIALIST FLUID DYNAMICS

With TMC Physics, a specialist in fluid dynamics is responsible for assisting our clients in the design and development of complex flow systems, both fluidic and gasflow. You will work in R&D environments on various application areas: oil&gas, renewable energy, product development. The work will mainly be conducted in project teams of various (technical) disciplines. It is crucial that you have a good overview of the possible applications of your expertise and that you’re able to motivate this to others.  Requirements

• BSc/MSc/PhD in (Applied) Physics or similar education
• Practical/industrial experience in the field of fluid dynamics;
• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (working knowledge of Fluent and/or CFX)
• Serious motivation for the Employeneurship model of TMC;
• Good oral and written communicative skills.

MATERIAALKUNDIGE

Als materiaalkundige bij TMC Physics pas je je materiaalkundige expertise toe in R&D omgevingen, waar je klanten van TMC Physics ondersteund in materiaalkundige innovaties. Dit kan variëren van het ontwikkelen van keramieken, metalen, polymeren, tot het karakteriseren van grensvlakken, onderzoeken van verbindingstechnieken en deformatie van materialen. De toepassingsgebieden zijn ook zeer divers: product development, bouwfysische ontwikkelingen, displaytechnologie en zelfs nucleaire technologie. Dit werk voer je veelal uit in teams met mensen uit diverse (technische) disciplines. Hierbij is het belangrijk dat je de potentiële toepassing van je expertise in diverse projecten kunt vinden en hier anderen ook voor weet te enthousiasmeren. Functie-eisen

• MSc of PhD in de experimentele natuurkunde, technische natuurkunde (Applied Physics) of aanverwante achtergrond;
• Meer dan twee jaar relevante werkervaring, opgedaan in het bedrijfsleven;
• Expertise op het gebied van opzetten en/of uitvoeren van experimenten.
• Duidelijk aantoonbare expertise op materiaalkundig gebied.
• Uitgebreide ervaring met data-analyse is een pre.

OPTICAL DESIGNER

With TMC Physics, an optical designer is responsible for assisting our clients in the design and development of complex optical systems, including lens design, reflective and refractive systems, scanning systems, Gaussian optics and laser propagation, illumination. You will work on optics in various applications: imaging optics, fiber-optics, illumination optics, waveguide optics. The work will mainly be conducted in project teams of various (technical) disciplines. It is crucial that you have a good overview of the possible applications of your expertise and that you’re able to motivate this to others. Requirements

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Optical engineering, (Applied) Physics or similar education;
• Practical/industrial experience in optical (system) design;
• Proficiency in the use of optical design tools, such as ZEMAX, CODE-V, Breault ASAP or similar;
• Working knowledge of ray tracing (sequential and non sequential);
• Good understanding of optical test methods and standard specifications for optical components;
• Thorough understanding of fundamental optical principles geometrical optics, polarisastion, interference & diffraction, non-linear optics, Fourier optics, Gaussian propagation and
• Serious motivation for the Employeneurship model of TMC;
• Good oral and written communicative skills.

MODELLEUR

Als modelleur bij TMC Physics pas je je analytische vaardigheden toe op complexe fysisch-technische, maatschappelijke of financiële systemen. Dit kan variëren van het ontwikkelen, aanpassen en valideren van modellen, tot het toepassen ervan (zowel analytisch als numeriek). Dit werk voer je veelal uit in teams met mensen uit diverse (technische) disciplines. Hierbij is het belangrijk dat je de potentiële toepassing van je expertise in diverse projecten kunt vinden en hier anderen ook voor weet te enthousiasmeren.  Functie-eisen

• MSc of PhD in (theoretische) natuurkunde, toegepaste wiskunde, scientific computing of vergelijkbare achtergrond;
• Ervaring met C/C++, Matlab en/of Java;
• Aantoonbare ervaring en affiniteit met modellering van fysisch-technische problemen, risicomodellering, beeldverwerking en/of data-analyse;
• Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal (spreek- en schrijfvaardigheid);

PROJECTLEIDER

Als projectleider bij TMC Physics leidt je projecten in technische omgevingen, waarbij je mutlidisciplinaire teams stuurt op tijd, techniek en middelen. Hierbij maak je optimaal gebruik van de competenties van teamleden. Vanzelfsprekend hierbij is je sterke leiderschap en communicatie. Je zorgt voor draagvlak bij belanghebbenden en in je team. • MSc of PhD in (technische) natuurkunde of aanverwante technische richtingen;
• 5-10 jaar ervaring in technische R&D omgevingen;
• Ervaring met het leiden van technische projecten (10+ FTE);
• U bent in staat op verschillende niveaus te communiceren, beïnvloeden en inspireren;
• U bent in staat op strategisch niveau uw visie te vormen en verdedigen;
