Developing contemporary high-tech and automotive systems is a multidisciplinary matter. Mechatronics plays an increasingly important role in that, from system architecture through to integration of these systems. The Employeneurs at TMC Mechatronics work at the heart of our customers’ Research & Development and integration department and are the linking factor there between the various mono-disciplines in these innovative development projects.
TMC Mechatronics is highly active in the market of Equipment Manufacturers, yet at the same time we see a shift taking place, whereby specific responsibilities are being increasingly shifted to the module suppliers. This requires specific domain and professional knowledge in the field of high-tech equipment and people must be able to offer added value immediately. Our
Employeneurs meet this specific need: entrepreneurial, innovative and a wide ranging expertise, utilising the TMC network both inside and outside of the Mechatronics business cell to the full.
In addition TMC manages to bind these mechatronic talents and get them to excel at their clients’ through a distinctive business model. TMC Mechatronics works for companies such as
Assembleon,
Bosch,
DAF Trucks,
FEI,
Frencken,
Mecal,
MuTracx, Punch Powertrain,
Philips, SKF,
Solaytec and
TNO.

"Distinctive through the ability to blend in".
Finding the right ‘man’, that is what typifies TMC. Our TMC Employeneurs have shown that they can adopt the ‘colour’ of the organisation and distinguish themselves (technically) in their contribution to the group.

Project: Estimation Software for ESP
The project I am most proud of is the development of state estimation software for ESP. For this project I worked on the estimation of dangerous and critical vehicle behaviour when, for example, the back of a car veers off in a bend. Measuring this behaviour with sensors has proven too expensive, but it can be estimated well with the state estimation software. By using this software, sports cars can now be tuned safely without compromising on sportiness or steering behaviour.
This project suited me perfectly considering my knowledge of vehicle technology and mechatronics. A crown on my work was the approval of the software for serial production in the new BMW 7-series. Our software is now also standard in the smaller variations, such as the 5 and 3 series. It was also a wonderful experience to actually test the software under extreme circumstances on the test location in the North of Sweden, for example.

What appeals to me most at TMC is the Employeneurship. I am entrepreneurial by nature, so that was a good match from the start.
TMC offers me the opportunity to reach my own goals, coaching and relevant training courses, both technical and communicative courses.
Another great advantage at TMC is the broad technically skilled support. If need be, you have people from a certain cell to fall back on, they can help you along with matters new to you. Particularly on a mechatronic project questions arise requiring a discipline you are not familiar with.
I also find TMC’s wide range of customers very interesting as it offers me the opportunity to gain experience with various companies and in various sectors. This way you develop yourself in many areas.
At TMC anything may be discussed, you will not immediately be given no for an answer. Anything is possible, as long as you can back it up.
TMC has a positive drive, both internally, among Employeneurs, and externally, to the customer. Customers will find that TMC Employeneurs offer much more than a temporary expansion of their workforce. This drive often results in creative change within a company.
