Engineering Manager NXP
"One of us".
As Engineering manager at NXP I have satisfactorily been hiring people through TMC for several years now. The candidates presented to me usually have a background in semi-conductors or even a history with Philips/NXP.
That makes the selection process easy and we are able to deploy these people quickly for operational matters, for example. They work in the team without problems. This offers us the opportunity to keep our own NXP engineers on the specialist jobs, which is a strong motivational factor and provides the fastest results. It is the well-known Win-Win situation.

Project: Integral planning System at ASML.
In 2009 ASML began with the implementation of LEAN in the factory. This is done under the FLOW programme within ASML. As a part of FLOW a number of projects has been set up to deliver IT tooling which will enable the further implementation of the FLOW programme. The Shop Floor Control - Detailed Planning is a project used to implement an APS system.
The aim of the project is to replace all loose tools which are used for planning (mainly Excel sheets), with an integral planning system. This system must also serve as a “One Source of Truth”, because at the moment the synchronisation of data between all the loose planning tools is a time consuming job, which is sensitive to mistakes. The scope of the project are all planning aspects within the factory, from the start module production to the installation of the machine at the customer’s. In practice this means multiple departments must be involved with this project. Replacing the existing tools will prove a further and great challenge because they ought to be working in a different manner.
The other challenge is to make the APS tool work with the SAP ERP and SAP ME system within ASML. Another aspect is the collaboration with other projects within ASML, which influence the planning in the factory, in particular the project with which the long-term planning will be automated with another planning tool at a higher planning level. All these aspects make the project to be an enormous challenge. The implementation of the APS tool was in 2011.

Account Manager TMC Manufacturing Support
TMC stands for entrepreneurship, which is also the reason I chose to start as a Junior Account Manager at TMC Manufacturing Support as of June 2010.
TMC is an organisation in which development and personal leadership are highly regarded. Your personal development is taken seriously and you receive professional guidance from your personal coach. Triggering yourself and exploring the limitations of your own knowledge and skills is a part of this. You shape your own career: you will have to distinguish yourself and want to make the difference.
Good initiatives are appreciated and you can take personal action in this. There is room for innovation of the current business cells and suggestions for interesting developments. For example, an initiative has been taken to organise a seminar where specialists and customers are brought into contact with each other and can exchange job related knowledge. Another initiative is that Employeneurs meet in competency groups in order to share knowledge and skills. Everything it takes to continue to develop yourself and broaden your scope.
What is typical for TMC?
Entrepreneurship, self development, showing initiative and distinguishing yourself.
