The field of Civil Engineering is developing. It was not long ago that our assignments were meticulously described in readymade documents (RAW). Over the past years we have seen a shift towards Design & Construct assignments. TMC Civil Engineering meets this demand perfectly with its people. Meeting these needs for our customers and our modern forms of contract (
Employeneurship), make TMC a unique player in this complex market.
We utilise our nationwide network intensively and are always searching for optimum forms for sharing our knowledge. Employeneurs in Deventer, for example, keep in close contact with the Employeneurs in Papendrecht regarding specific problems. This way our clients profit fully from the solution of problems, which, naturally, have occurred elsewhere.
TMC Civil Engineering’s clients include
Ballast Nedam,
the Municipality of Deventer,
the Municipality of Papendrecht,

Van Oord and
the Province of Utrecht.

"TMC understands what kind of people we are looking for".
TMC understands what kind of people we are looking for and knows our organisation. That makes the collaboration profitable. In most cases TMC is able to provide us with the right people at short notice. For a medium sized engineering agency (specialised in rail infra and terminals) recruiting ourselves is a costly and time-consuming process.
TMC Employeneurs integrate well in our company and are regarded as “our own”. I can come to good agreements with TMC and they think along with us in the needs of our organisation.

Project: Haak by Leeuwarden
Project: Hook around Leeuwarden
This project roughly involves a motorway to be newly constructed, upgrading a provincial road, shaping a complex split level crossing as a mound, creating a motorway exit and entrance and a number of (railway) underpasses and viaducts. All this is aimed at better management of traffic to and around Leeuwarden and to prepare the city for further development and expansion. Because Van Oord NL is not fully accustomed to the world if civil artworks and laying asphalt, we have combined forces with BAM, ensuring all necessary disciplines are well represented.
Rijkswaterstaat has placed the project in the market in a Design & Construct contract form and the Economically Most Advantageous Entry (EMVI) is used in the assessment of the entries. This means that sustainability must be taken into account, as must inconvenience to the public during the build and project management. In light of this, I try to come up with good ideas regarding sustainability. The result could then lead to a favourable assessment of our entry with, of course, the ultimate goal being, getting the work.
